Hi, My old remote for my alarm stopped working, tried changing the battery, not help. So i bought a new one. my question is on how to program it. I just want to clearify that the directions given on the back of the package are actually what I want to follow.

It says to open the door, key to on, press the valet button once, then the number of timees to program(7 for standard configuration) then press and hold. LED will flash and the siren will chirp

then press a button(I'm assuming lock) on the remote, it will chirp and then let everything go and take out the key.

Does this sound like the correct instructions for this particular remote?

Thanks!

Standard configuration can be position 7 or 1.

Try #1 first, and see if lock/lock and start work correctly, if not, go back into programming and try 7.

Door open, turn key to ON, press and release the pushbutton 1 once,   then press and hold it,  (if the horn is connected it will honk once) then press the LOCK button (horn will honk once again), release the button, turn the key off and try it.

If the horn or siren is'nt connected, thats ok, programming will still work.
