the problem is that the sound system display shows the message "phone" and I can not get it off.  No cell is hooked to the car.  The system is staying in phone mode and drains the battery.  How do I get it off the phone mode and back on radio or cd?

if the radio is displaying the Phone button then the problem might be that the mute button is broken or the wire is tapped or something is causing it to go active. if after fiddling with the button doesn't work then try this. if you have the 2 black and red connectors on the back of your radio try this. try cutting the wire which is located on the connector with 3 rows of wires, each row above and below (the top row is closest to the locking piece) has 7 wires on it. when you look at the back of the harness where the wires come out, the middle row has only 6 wires coming out. the left  middle wire is #1 and the right middle row wire is #6. so the #3 from the left is the PHONE mute wire. this is the wire the radio knows as the tele-mute wire. the #4 and #5 is the input wires for using the tele-mute input for either aux in or a add-on.
