2002 Mercury Cougar I4 Alarm/Remote Start Wiring

I am overseas in Germany and have bought a great stereo and alarm for my new 2002 Cougar 4 cyl.  but no one over here is really familiar with the US spec Cougars - plus it's hard to understand German.  Does anyone have the info on a 2002 Mercury Cougar?  I work with electronics so I'm familiar with DMMs, but why reinvent the wheel if someone already has the info out there?  I'm specifically interested in the stuff I'll need for the alarm, i.e. door pins, lock/unlock, pluse times, trunk pin, trunk release, etc.  Also, has anyone run into any problems with the passive anti-theft equipment and keyless entry that comes with the vehicle when installing the alarm?  Any and all help will be useful.

  PROBLEM DURING INSTALLATION

O.K., everything was going well, but I have a new issue.  The alarm I am installing into my Cougar is an Alpine SEC-150R, which comes with a "prewired" starter cut relay.  The "inputs" are pretty easy to figure out, but the outputs are a little tricky.  From the relay, there are three "output" lines, one that wires to the "key", one that says NO (I'm assuming normally open) and NC (normally closed).  My question is, how do I know which ones to wire where?  The diagram does above provided by Jeff doesn't have the "key" wire listed, and I don't have any idea whether my car has NC or NO or where to plug one of these in.  Is ther an easy way to test this circuit out or does anyone know?

I didn't cut a starter wire - probably my first mistake, right?   Plus, there's a picture of the key somewhere else.  Here, how about this.  The only wires I have not connected are pointed out with red arrows below.  This picture is from the manufacturer's alarm installation guide.

• YELLOW Ignition ( the one that points to the Ignition KEY ) goes to the  ignition wire on the car & also goes to pin 86 on the relay
• ORANGE / BLACK ( pin 10 ) goes to pin 85 on relay
• RED / WHITE wire on the relay ( NOT USED )
• RED / YELLOW wire on relay goes to motorside of the starter wire
• Red goes to the keyside of the starter wire

According to the diagram above the wires that I have going to the relay is correct. This relays goes against all the other starter

disable circuits that I have made and installed ( even previous Alpine alarms are wired differently than this).

Thanks again for all the help, Jeff.  I'll get this car stereo thing down yet.  By far, my car is the most intensive installation I have ever attempted, what with neon, accent lgihting, alarm and fully customized stereo.  I think the tree out back is tired of me hittin gmy skull against it.
