First time poster, hope I am posting in the correct section.
I have a high powered system in my boat. I just installed a new tower speaker amp (wet sounds syn4). After installing I am have a noise bleeding effect. The speakers pop when I use other sources, ie: other switches. I was told to wire all audio equip to 1 battery to isolate it but that I also might need to use a relay. What exactly does a relay do and where would I wire it in? I am new to installing relays
Thanks

They are talking about a second deep cycle battery and a split charging relay, e.g. Stinger
