I am new here, so I apologize if this is not the right place to ask, but here it goes. I am getting ready yo build my first enclosure for a Jetski, and I am hoping some of the minds here might have some advice for a rookie. I have come across a video which shows my exact type of jetski, with an enclosure very similar to what I would like to build, but with no experience, I would like some advise as to what materials you would recommend, and thickness. the video is here....

I plan to take this jetski from Miami to the Bahamas this summer, so the enclosure will be taking a rough ride thought the ocean. Thanks in advance.

I am half ass decent at this stuff, I am sure there is a million people here with better advice then me, but if I were to do it I think I would frame out my panel like for the head unit and speaker out of mdf. A place I used to work would buy this water proof mdf and it was really heavy, but I would frame it in that, then wrap it in fleece or grille cloth. If and only if there is good access to the inside of the project, I try to frame stuff with grille cloth then reinforce from the back side. I do this so there is less sanding and body work on the outside when you go to finish it. It is not always an option if you cant get your hands into the inside though.

How long does the battery last? Does this thing have an alternator on it? That would be my only concern.
