trying to hook up a power tailgate lock to the door lock system on 2014silverado using two standard automotive relays 85 side of the coil to the battery and the 86 to the brn / YELLOW for the lock and blu/white for the unlock relay and when hooked up i shut down the door lock system,can anyone help?

You may have to run 2 wires into the door and catch the wires at the Actuator.

we have looked at that but gm has put a connector at the door jam i am just looking to put two relays under the dash to work off the door lock system appear to be some changes in the 2014 1500 door locks

Did you ever get this figured out? I would like to do the same. What parts and how did you connect to the mechanism to actuate the lock? I looked, but had no good ideas for doing this.

I would tap on the the door unlock and lock wires

Unlock brown /white

Lock BROWN / yellow These are negative polarity so use relay it your door latch it a positive trigger
