Question: The DBALL2 instruction manual says to connect from the remote starter 10 Gauge Violet "STARTER 1 (+) OUTPUT" (car side of the starter kill) to the (+) Brake Wire at the brake pedal which is a 24 gauge wire or thinner? IS this a correct connection from a 10 gauge to a 24 gauge wire?

Yep, this will simulate someone pressing the brake pedal when pushing the PTS button to start the car. This connection is correct.
No question is stupid or not worth asking. You were once a noob, right? :)

I got everything connected that I can think of so far. I wired the viper and dball2 harnesses first and then double checked the connections. I then connected the Python 5706, Shock sensor, antenna, and safety switch. I kept my fingers crossed, and then let her rippp... *LOL*
Positives: I am able to unlock/lock all four doors, Arm/Disarm, Alarm detects door pin, siren chirps and works, key sense seems to work, parking lights work, OEM remote control of Alarm Arm/Disarm. I was also able to reprogram the Manual Transmission factory default to Automatic Mode option #2. I also did Tach Programming.
Negatives:
1. - I still do not have remote start. I get an "REMOTE START ERROR" on the Python Key Fob. The parking light blinks 8 times indicating a neutral safety switch error?
2. - The Double Guard Shock Sensor won't let me adjust it through the python 2-way key fob. The Python 2-way shows a signal being sent to the Python but there is No Signal in return, I get an error "X" failed signal. I tried kicking the tires and NOTHING -- No shock sensor trigger. The alarm does trigger when the door is open though.
Why isn't this Shock sensor working?
3. - Auxiliary Trunk pop - Open is not working on the Python -- I don't know if this was included.

Update: I do have trunk pop through the Python 2-way remote. The Auxiliary needs to be held for a few seconds for this to work.
Problem: The main issue is the "Remote Start Error" which gives me "8 parking light blinks" signifying "Neutral Safety Switch". I did instal the Neutral safety switch (double checked) that came with the python and I switched this to the "ON" position; I also tried the "Off" position and still got the same error. Am I missing a wire somewhere?

If going D2D ( using the D2D harness ) between the DB-ALL2 and the Python 5706, the DB-ALL2 sends the vehicles Parking Brake status it collected off the CAN bus to the 5706 via the D2D harness.  The 5706 uses this as the Neutral Safety Input signal.  Do you have the Maxima's Parking Brake engaged prior to a remote start attempt?

In W2W mode, you would simply connect the 5706's  BLACK/ WHITE (-) NEUTRAL SAFETY /PARKING BRAKE INPUT wire ( Pin 13 on the 24 Pin plug ) to chassis ground on vehicles with an automatic transmission.

Soldering is fun!

Python Install -- The Double Guard Shock Sensor won't let me adjust it through the python 2-way key fob. The Python 2-way shows a signal being sent to the Python but there is No Signal in return, I get an error "X" failed signal. I tried kicking the tires, repeatedly. I have kick very hard to get the alarm to trigger. The alarm does trigger when the door is opened.
Does anyone have any ideas why the Shock sensor isn't letting me program it? Could it be one of the menu settings?

Did kreg357 resolve the remote start issue? Also, make sure your little switch is plugged in and in the ON position.
If you have the external shock sensor, like the one below,
dball2, viper 2010 nissan maxima - Page 2 -- posted image.
Look on the side of it. You'll see a little hole to access a potentiometer. This is where you make the adjustment on these sensors. Clockwise for more sensitive. Make sure you don't turn it past its stopping point!
What model is the brain? It'll say "Viper" then the model. If it's the 5X04, the sensor is built in and are a pain. They have to be set via the remote or bitwriter. When using the remote, can you get to the settings menu? If I remember correctly, while you're holding function, it'll beep before you get the settings menu. Keep holding and it should get you in.
No question is stupid or not worth asking. You were once a noob, right? :)

Another tip in my experience:
When you mount the shock sensor, make sure it is kind of loose. If it's tight, it doesn't work as well. I like to dangle the external sensors off the steering column, zip tying the wires to it just before the connector. If it dangles too much (i.e. 3 inches or more) it doesn't work.

I am having issues with the alarm and remote start. I ran the diagnostics: Press python valet/control switch and hold (antenna), turn car ON then OFF, release control switch, then Press the control switch again and release. The LED flashes: 3 times, 5 times, 8 times. I do hear a Clicking sound and then car turns ON then Off.
Code Definitions:
3   Low or no RPM
5 (+) brake
8 (-) Neutral safety shutdown (H3/1 BLACK/ WHITE)
Alarm: VIPER 5706 -- SUPPORTS DATA TO DATA -- REMOTE START + Security
DBALL2 BYPASS INSTALL GUIDE: http://www.xpresskit.com/VehicleCompatibility.aspx?p=null&year=2010&make=Infiniti&model=G37%20%28Smart%20Key%29&ps=1&s=0&c=0
I am using data to data and I have all other functions: Lock/unlock etc.
1. Per DBALL2 Install guide the H3/4 Violet (+)STARTER OUTPUT (car side)is attached to the Brake (+) wire.
-- H3/5 Green (+) STARTER INPUT (key side) --- NOT CONNECTED
2, (-) Neutral Safety Switch plugged in, connected, and turned to ON position.
3. Neutral Safety Parking Brake INPUT -- 24 pin harness BLACK/ WHITE --- is Connected to common ground per python install guide.
4. Low or No RPM ---- What is this?

3 - disregard, especially if the remote hasn't worked yet. The virtual tach needs to be learned.
5 - This is the brake input that should be connected to your brake pedal. Make sure you have this hooked up to the correct wire -- it should be connected to the side that is hot when the brake pedal is pressed.
8 - I would double check the connection on this, but addressing/resolving (5) might resolve this code.

1. Yes, the violet starter wire from the remote start is connected to the Lt. Green wire, pin 4 on the brake switch. The green from the remote start should not be connected. Make sure Ign1 input is connected (it's best practice to take all the fused heavy gauge wires and latch them to +12V Constant). These wires provide the +12V to relays inside the remote start system, so if they're not hooked up, half the box might be dead.
2, 3. You have the correct wire, and it should be connected to common ground. Maybe double check the connection and verify there is, in fact, ground where you have it connected. I can't tell you the number of times I connected ground to a metal plate that wasn't grounded! dball2, viper 2010 nissan maxima - Page 2 -- posted image.
4. Again, worry about this code after you get the car started, it could be a false positive.
