bv7330 boss audio system

I have a 2002 pontiac grand am and ran into a problem when installing my boss audio system I know the black ground wire from stereo goes to WHITE/ black wire in car and yellow memory wire in stereo goes to orange wire in car I also know blue wire from stereo is not needed for my vehicle but I cannot figure out where the red 12v+ wire from stereo hooks up to my car. help pleaseJesse&Miranda

Accessory circuit. If there isn't one either ignition or join the red to the yellow but make sure you turn off the head unit when you leave the car.Test before boxing up.

Your red should go to ACC, orange TEST. Your yellow should go to red, 12V+ constant. TEST In fact you have it the wrong way round in that head unit yellow memory has to go to a constant and head unit red has go to a switched supply. Test before boxing up.

when you say shut off the head unit when I leave car does that mean like take the face off the stereo? sorry if that's a dumb question.Jesse&Miranda

Metra makes a little black box you hook into the car and new radio that lets the BCM turn the radio on like normal. they make the for all kinds of newer cars. make sure you figure out which one is for your car... you may have to ask them in an email before you shop.yuk
