So I saw the new Viper 5706v online and had to have one. Being an installer for 10 years I thought this upgrade would be easy. After I had completed the install on my truck everything works. However the remote will send the command, the alarm will complete the command, but instead of confirming the command the remote beeps and icon flashes like it is out of range. I have deleted and re-paired the remote but it still does the same stuff. I called DEI but since my shop is no longer a Viper dealer they will not help. Guidance please......

Try disconnecting the power to the 5706 brain for 10 minuets or so. Pull the fuse on the red 12 volt of the 6 pin harness. See if that clears up the issue.
When all else fails, Read the Instructions

Not sure if you're upgrading from an 04 series but if that's the case, please note:-
Different antenna AND antenna lead, change both.
Tell me about it, luckily I bench tested my first a while back.
Otherwise follow Smokeman's advice.
Test before boxing up.
