Thanks for the help so far. The 5706v works good, remote start good, but the DEI 520T Seems to cause the blue wire to instant trigger on the brain to sense "trunk open" when I set the alarm, I am about to go out and see why. I have the bitwriter, and have set it both ways,,, N/O as well as N/C and I still get the same "trunk open" on the LCD remote, when I arm it. Also six flashes on the led I believe it was six anyway, I guess I am asking, does the battery backup show no continuity to ground on its blue output, or does the ground output cease when someone clips the main battery wire under hood. Of course the alarm should already be going off because of the hood pin. I am about to check my blue output/input at both ends. Should the 520T BBU blue output just be an open,,,,,ground,,,,, or pos when the alarm is armed?

Ok, no answer on prior post, prolly too long and indirect.
I have a 5706v that if armed, when I use remote start, while armed, the blue wire, receives a very short negative input from the DEI 520T battery backup, when starting,, and trips the alarm because of this very brief, ground signal while the starter starts the Van. Battery is good, but 5yrs old, and never seems week, sits at 12.7 or so.
My question is this. Is there a capacitor (if so, what UF?) could I hook up in series or across the blue input of alarm, so that it doesn't recieve this very brief negative signal when starting when alarm is armed? The remote displays "trunk sensor" tripped, of course and shuts down the remote start and alarm goes off. It's got me baffled, as all the rest of this R/S and alarm works well. Of course the smart start, and timer start would do the same when armed too.
Anyone else have this problem?
