he grounds your amplifier to the moveable parts of your trunk lid.

he grounds your amp by simply running a couple screws through your ground wire leaving the insulation in tact.

he installs your remote start unit, then tells you you have to bring it to my shop so we can make it start.

I almost forgot this one. And it is the one I started the thread for. A guy brings his amp for me to repair it. His installer was with him. They said the amp had no output. The installer said, and I quote "I know it don't have any output because we turned it up and I touched the speaker wires together and it didn't even go into protect, so I know it does not have any output.

if he thinks touching your speaker wires together is an acceptable troubleshooting too.
