2013 accord normal key

I will be doing an r/s in one of these soon and wanted to see what everyones recommendation for the bypass to use. I'm leaning towards the evo-all so they won't lose a key.

I use an idatalink ads al-ca. The evo-all is pretty much the same thing from what I remember. It does the locks, trunk and bypass. But most importantly it does the factory disarm without having to go into the door. Cuts install time way down.

The car will stay running and normal Key take-over is possible. Easy car, The steering wheel shroud comes off by separating the top from the bottom using the a flat head screwdriver in the 3 and 9 o'clock positions just like a Toyota. There are Phillip head screws under there, you'll see them as the 2 halves start to separate. You'll have to unscrew those 2 screws to get the 2 halves to come off. You have your ignition wires, can, data, neg parking lights there. The door locks are behind the fusebox. If you look behind the fusebox toward where the wires from the door come through, you will see the molex plugs for the door harness. Follow it as it heads towards the back of the fuse box, you will see the wire loom stops, then there is a few inches of exposed wire wrapped in black tape and then the wire loom starts again. You can easily access the door lock wires in that break. I believe I only took apart the steering column in this car and maybe the side panel to run the antenna wire.

Idatalink module works well in this car but it is Klon(meaning you need a programmer to install it). I prefer the Idatalink module myself. blanx is correct about OEM disarm, however it unlocks the doors and you must connect a relock in this car which you can find in the drivers door harness. Flobee is correct on his shroud removal but be aware there is a 3rd screw under the shroud also that must be removed.Mike M2

I am primarily an iDatalink user, too.   In this 2013 - 2014 Accord LX application, I was surprised to see this key take-over note

at the end of the EVO-ALL install guide #14661.

The module will shut down the vehicle as soon as the drivers door is opened.

As FloBee4 mentioned, the iDatalink bypass module will allow normal key take over.  Never tried the EVO-ALL on the new

Accord LX to verify the above statement.
