Greetings All. I am new to this Forum.
Have a 2014 Toyota Hilux pickup.
The 2 outside mirrors have to be retracted (folded) using a switch on the dash. I want to automate the retraction of these mirrors, as people keep bumping into my large mirrors at the malls.
Solution : I would like to use the remote fob to activate the auto-fold of the mirrors when I am out of the vehicle and lock it with the remote fob.
My question -
Where would be the best to pickup a pulse (pos. or neg.) to use as trigger mechanism to drive my custom relay circuit to auto-fold the mirrors ?
Was thinking to use pulse from the auto door lock circuit, but perhaps another pickup point would be easier ?
Here is the wiring diagram of the auto door lock.

Door lock motor wire for a POS pulse.
I think you have problems if you think Florida is in the UK, should know, I live at both of those addresses.

Use the (+) door lock pulse and set up the circuit to trigger from two pulses AND a lack of ignition voltage. This will allow you to only retract them when you want and will avoid any accidental activations while the car is on.

Wire the 85 side coil NEG of your "custom relay circuit" to ignition.
