After close to 1 month of install. It was working fine. And this morning (September 30) it will not start fully. I live in canada so weather change a lot from hot to cold. Winter is almost here and weather reach to -35+'C sometime.
The problem I have now is it will try to crank 3 times everything light up and engine crank but it auto shut off after; all 3 times. I even try to start with key but it will not let me start(????). I try turn ignition on and nothing happen silence. But with remote starter I can get it to start engine but shut off after few second..
Can someone please help before the cold hit please
Thank You

99.9% sure you have an immobilizer problem What's the year, make, and model of the car?
No question is stupid or not worth asking. You were once a noob, right? :)

Using a real tach connection? If so check it and relearn the tach.

If the car won't start with the key, check the immobilizer wiring at the ignition cylinder. Maybe the plug came loose. Which bypass module are you using?

Ok I misread your original post, it sounds like you have an issue with the bypass. Make sure it's not active when your using the key.

Sorry not god with term. When you say bypass which are you referring to the brain or the CN1 (8pin connector). On the side note it's not a chip key.
Thank you all for respond.

So your car won't crank/turn-over with just the key?
If your car doesn't have a factory immobilizer, I'm back to my original suggestion. If the car won't crank per my question above, I'd check the wiring for the ignition, namely the power feeds for the remote start and the ignition wire itself.
I'm also going to add to check the fuses of both the car and the cm5200, especially if all the usual dash lights aren't lighting up before crank whether it be during remote start or start with the key.

Thank You all for the respond and help.
Specially "Catback" you help me out a lot. Thank you
Regarding my problem it was silly, was showing a friend of the mess I did, when I install the starter at that time I accident loosen the CN 3 connector. Guess while during the drive home it came loose. After reading all the respond. Took the time to check all the wire again and to my supprice the loose adaptor sure cause lots of trouble. After pluging it back into the brain everything respond now.
Thank You again.
