I recently wired starter kill on my sons 1990 Toyota celica . I used a diode with the remote wire for power . There is a whole lot of noise coming from relay while key is in acc position The remote wire is wired to power antenna wire . Could this be causing it?

Specifically how do you have this all wired? Also depending on age, wiring to the radio is a terrible starter kill method. Kids, especially males, of a certain age never turn off the radio which defeats it's use as the control for the starter kill. Also I have to add many vehicles cut off power to the radio when the key is in the start position which would reactivate a N.O. Starter Kill and leave you unable to start the car.

Yeah that diagram is flawed...You need to add a diode into the +12 ignition at pin 30.

Ok thanks . I'll try that . I know starter kill with radio isn't ideal but until I can get alarm for it it will have to do. I enforce faceplate removal until then

Auto theft must be rampant for anyone to steal a 1990 celica. Damn near 25 years old.
