Hello All,
I have been searching for an install manual for a Viper 850XV and can pretty much find every manual besides that... Does anyone have one they can share? I did find a post that had a download link to one, but it wasn't actually for the 850XV.
I've been having some intermittent starting issues. I can hear the starter relay click, but the motor never cranks. Wait a few minutes and it will be fine. I've checked grounds and connections and haven't found anything yet, and I even replaced the starter relay with no luck. A very long time ago, I had a viper 850 installed by circuit city... their wiring is very sloppy also and it makes me suspicious. I'm not sure if this system has an additional relay tied into the starting circuit?
Anyway, if anyone can share that specific manual, I would greatly appreciate it! :)
Thanks!

If your issues are occurring when starting the car with the key and your hearing a click from the engine compartment then your troubles lie with the car's starter and/or starting system.

The starter and starter solenoid are also brand new... along with the relay tied into the clutch switch which I can hear clicking. That's why I am interested in seeing the alarm circuit because I don't know what else that is tied into. I'm not sure if there is another relay involved somewhere, but they did a crappy job of installing the alarm (wiring is horribly messy)...

What you see is what you get, most everything will be behind/under the dash. The starter kill is the only part that will affect your ability to start the car with the key.
If the relay is rapidly clicking or buzzing at any time, something is wrong with the wiring. A starter kill generally should only click once when the key is turned to the ON position IF it indeed clicks at all.
It goes without saying, the alarm must be disarmed for the car to start.

I'd also take a hard look at the ignition switch.
