hey,
so I am working on wiring my garage door opener into my bike. using the constant to momentary diagram.
https://www.the12volt.com/relays/relaydiagram20.html
testing this set up before wiring the remote to it and it does not seem to work. the output at terminal 30 stays constant instead of switching off. any idea on what could cause that or what I might have done wrong. thanks a lot.

Are you using the NO contact 87 (not NC 87a)?
You aren't using a typical automotive relay for which that circuit was designed. You may have to reduce the size of the capacitor (say 5 fold) and increase the size of the resistor tho I'd suggest not having the resistor at all.

PS - snip (disconnect) the resistor first. It may be too low a resistance for that relay.
If that fixes it, IMO leave it off.

Thanks a lot of the help. I was able to figure it out. Turns out i wired the polarity on the capacitor backwards. Works perfect now. As far as the mini relay, its a 12v 15A relay that is just very small. worked out great.
Thanks again.
