Hey,
So I am going to try to make this easy to answer:
Car: 2003 Alero NO alarm system
RS System: Avital 4113LX one button (no security system).
My question is, how on earth do I get this anti-grind feature working? The manual just says "use a relay". I have a standard SPDT relay, how would I wire up the anti-grind feature to it?
Thanks in advance,
Nate

You are close.
Pin 86 should go to the pink (+) ignition wire in the ignition harness.
So wiring would be:
85: Anti Grind from Remote start (can also use Ground When Running from Remote start).
86: (+) Ignition signal.
Cut start wire in ignition harness.
87A: Key side of cut starter wire.
30: Motor side of cut starter wire.
Cheers.

Yes it does. I wired up the anti-grind relay and had everything ready.....then I read your post. Tried it. Turns out it won't grind the starter with the key or with remote start either.
So for future people that may install this into a related GM car: THIS CAR DOES NOT NEED AN ANTI-GRIND RELAY.

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
