Im working on a 03 S60 and I'm having a issue with the doorlocks. This wouldn't even be a problem if my idiot boss had decided to use a idatalink AL module so I'm trying to cover his tracks. Anyways, the issue im having is the the doors won't lock with the vehicle remote started they'll unlock but not lock. I went into the drivers door for lock (key cylinder)-PURPLE / white and unlock (key cylinder)-blue/white at the drivers door module but obviously the lock is disabled with the vehicle running.
I was thinking about interrupting the wire that tells the drivers door module that the vehicle is running but i don't know if its a analog signal or done through data. Anyone have a solution for this issue?
I drink current, eat ohms, and bleed voltage

Yeah, why would your boss not want to use a module on a car like that? Did he sell it too cheaply or something?
Anyway, yeah, Volvos do that. No one documents it on any of the tech sheets, but I have seen it. I can't even remember if a module would have fixed it or not.
I've never had a complaint about it. How many customers even know about or use pit-stop mode? And again how many of them bother to lock the doors when they jump out of the car to grab a coffee or use the ATM?
I suppose you could either 5-wire the lock motor with a relay, or if you were really ambitious, take apart the doorlock switch and solder something onto the circuit board----the interior lock switch will lock and stay locked even with the car running.
My philosophy with European cars is to not try any fancy trickery---just get the car to start and be done with it. Any fooling around is just risking setting off warning lights you can't reset by yourself, damaging parts you can't easily get replacements for, et cetera.
So I would just say to not demo the pit-stop feature to the customer at all, and they'll probably be happy.
If they really want to park the car and keep it warm, they can always shut of the engine, exit, lock, and re-remote start.

I'm X2 with Chris here; on the latest Euro Fords we have to go to the door module, indicator feed to door mirror, locks, comfort close, all via LIN and CAN networks from the CEM to the bloody door.
