I have purchased a new car stereo for my 2001 cavalier , I am in need of the color code chart for the car. Can anybody help me locate this?

Did you already cut the plug off?
If not, go to a stereo shop and purchase a Metra LCGMRC-01 if you want to do it right. Or purchase a Metra 70-2003 if you do not mind losing your door dinger and retained accessory power.
If you already hacked it off give me a second and I will post a link to the wire colors.

Unfortunately when I purchased the car the radio did not work upon removing the original radio I noticed that half of the wires were already dislodged from the harness so I did just finish cutting them off. Would need to replace anyways.

That helps a lot however , it appears my car has 2 solid black wires. Another question would be since my car does not have a switched wire would I be able to skip connection to the ignition and hope I remember to turn the power off on the stereo?
