Does anyone have this problem as well?

When I install a alarm in this vehicle (the 6cyl, 8cyl, or HEMI) the Engine Light comes on and requires a trip to the dealer to be fixed.  The Last alarm w/remote start I have put in a 2004 Ram with the 8cyl and the3 light came on.  It cost our shop $75 to get code erased and delaer said computer has nothing to report, but light came on.  Anyone else have that same problem.

BTW: It does the same weather the unit is a alarm, or alarm w/ remote start.

you can get a code scan tool that resets lights at local autoparts store  for about $150 . we all make mistakes from time to time and forget to power up a wire but for $150 its cheap insurance and the customer never needs to know anything that wont ultimately hurt the vehicle.  just my $.02

My installer had to power all the ingnition wires in order to get my check engine light off. I had two where the wiring diagram showed one. Confused them pretty good. I had a Compustar model installed and it took a couple trips to get it right. My problem was if I used the autostart the check engine light went on. Then I had to disconnect the battery to reset it. After powering all the ignition wires the probelm went away.

2003 and 2004 Dodge Ram's -- posted image. Vehicle notes
PLEASE NOTE: For the Ram 2500 and 3500, see the Dodge Ram 2500,3500 pickup 2002 in the database. This vehicle may be equipped with a TRANSPONDER passive anti-theft system. If the vehicle has GRAY ignition keys, see the appropriate diagram before any remote start installation.
* This wire is not always present, but if it is there, it must be connected or the check engine will come on.
** On the 3.9L, 5.2L and 5.9L engines, the tach wire can be found at the coil on the engine near the distributor. On the 8.0L V10 engine there are 2 coils packs on the right side of the engine. Use the BLACK/ GRAY at the 6-pack for a 2 cylinder reference.
*** This is a 1-wire system with resistors. If the vehicle is equipped with factory security, use the LT.GREEN/ ORANGE wire (2-Kohms for lock/arm and 480-ohms for unlock/disarm). A double pulse to unlock all doors. With no factory alarm, use the WHITE/ GREEN wire (815-ohms for lock and 315-ohms for unlock). Both wires are located in the driver’s side kickpanel. Relays should be used to insure a good ground to the resistors. See the doorlock diagram for exact wiring instructions.
**** Ground through a 330-Ohm resistor to activate parklights. You can also use a BLACK / YELLOW (+) in the large harness under the hood between the driver's side fender and the firewall.
***** Driver's door is TAN, Passenger door is TAN/RED, right rear is TAN / YELLOW and left rear is VIOLET/ORANGE. All 4 wires are found in a plug above the brake pedal. Diode isolate with 1N4001 diodes if connection together.
****** On right side of firewall in engine compartment.
