I just installed an Audiovox remote start in a 2003 Chevy Astro Van with an Audiovox AS-GM4 passlock II Bypass.
Everything went according to plan, it starts on remote and runs fine.
However now the Service Engine Soon Light has come on.
I put a code scanner on it and got 4 codes:
1. TCC
2. Dealer Specific Code
3. Trans Shift Sensor
4. TCC
Is this a concidence or could the RS have caused a this?

Did you hook up the 2nd Ignition wire?  And I also think I heard something about needing to power the 2nd accesory "brown" wire in these also.

Did you have a factory security to bypass? If, so, did you try to remote start before bypassing it? I did that once and had almost the same exact code on a GM, after clearing the code, I never had a problem again.

Just my .02 cents

Jim

No, I think that its the second igniton wire...., a white wire. I think that I hooked up both of the accessory wires.
I will go back and get Ing 1 and 2 of the remote start to Ing 1 and 2 of the Van.... However should I hook up the brown Acc 2 wire? and If so, What wire should I hook it to?
Hopefully I didn't screw anything up..
thanks
_Jeff

you should be able to reset the codes by disconnecting the battery and you probably did not cause any problems unless you drove the vehicle withthe light on after remote starting it

Drove it for about 5 min, however this was with the key in and on, therefore the ign 1 and 2 and everthing for that matter would have been powered up and ok. I only ran on remote start for a total of 2 or 3 min, as I tested everything.
I had the battery disconected for 20 minutes after getting the ign 2 connected to the white wire. And still the light comes on..... everything still starts and works fine.
any other thoughts.
Thanks for all the quick responses, I really Appericate it.
