I guess if you want to put your own amp in the car you would need to bypass the Bose Amp, replace the Bose speakers,  and you should be ok after that?  I have been told you can hook an after market amp up to those Bose speakers bypassing the Bose amp.  This is frustrating...

The best options on these is the get the wiring harness and run all new wires from the amp to the spekers, not use the stock wiring

Basically what 'im doing is adding line level convertors. I am adding an Alpine MRV540 and an Alpine MRD500, running all new wire, adding 3 way components up front , and a single 12 under the rear seat. I have the Bose in dash 6 disc and don't want to lose my steering wheel controls, xm and onstar at the moment. I just wanted to make sure I tagged the right wires. Thanks for all the help.....

What speakers are you using for your Mids?  Do you currently have Bose speakers in there now?  I am trying to avoid spending a butt load of money buying new Mids/Highs, and wire my bose speakers to my own amp.
