I believe that deck and all the old Pioneer models used the standard basic color codes, as follows:

Yellow = +12V constant;  Red = +12V switched; Black = ground; Blue-white = remote on; WHITE/ White-black = FL speaker; Grey/Grey-black = FR speaker; GREEN/ Green-black = RL speaker; Violet/Violet-black = RR speaker.

thanks for the info i think with it and the diagram i just got for the stock installation for my jeep i should be in good shape. i also have an alpine v-12 4 channel amp that i would like to hook up. it would be running the two front pioneer speakers and two boxed 6x9 speakers for the rear. i believe the amp is 400 watts is this too much for my speakers. ive never installed an amp or a stereo and any help is much appreciated. thanks

pete
