Power Door Locks, 97 GMC Sierra, 451M

'97 GMC Sierra Viper 560XV DEI 451M Power door lock relay I am trying to get my power door locks to work correctly. The truck did not come with factory keyless entry. I cannot seem to figure out how to hook up the relay correctly. From other thread: From linked thread: You can use two SPDT relays or DEI's 451M. Wire it like this: Actuators/Reverse Polarity Diagram The blue wire is your (-) unlock output and the green wire is your (-) lock output. Also, if you use a 451M, it should plug into the alarm brain in place of the 3-pin plug with the lock and unlock wires; in that case just ignore the 85s and 86s in the above diagram. Replied this to the wrong thread earlier... Sorry for my ignorance, but where would the "actuator" wires go? I have no idea what that is. I assume thoes wires are the brown and white ones. The 87 grounds would be in the wire that goes to the brain correct?

actually, ur car is a type C doorlock 5-wires. i dont use the 451m but if youre to place the diagram of the 451m on here ill try to help. BTW DEI doesnt have it, its down. alternative way is to use a relay for each Doorlk wire. like this, scroll down to 5wireHouston,TX

Man can someone please tell me what exactly I need to do? I just tried doing the 5 wire with the 451m but I keep blowing the fuse. I really need to get this done tonight.

see if this helps: Power Lock L BLUE DRIVER KICK #203 Power Unlock WHITE here is what you need to do with two relays: relay one (lock relay) 87 12v 86 12v 85 ground 87a switch side of cut lock wire 30 motor side of cut lock wire relay two (unlock relay) 87 12v 85 12v 86 ground 87a switch side of cut unlock wire 30 motor side of cut unlock wire i would put a in line fuse on the 12v wires....10 amp min.Good Luck

I don't have a manual for it and the one on DEI's website is missing. I will try going this again, thanks for the help guys, I'll let you know how it works. BTW the purple wire is connected to a 12V constant.

Tried: Purple -- 12V Brown - Motor end (lock) Blue - Wire closet to switch wire 1 (lock) White - Motor end (unlock) Green - Wire closet to switch (unlock) Had a 10A fuse instead of 15A because ran out of 15As. But popped non-the-less. Any ideas?
