just slide your piece of mdf or plywood between the roof and the headliner..dont glue it..theres no point. Once you sandwich the headliner between the screen and the wood..its not going anywhere..make your mount board as large as possible (without changing the shape of the headliner when you tighten it up) The bigger the board is..the more you distribute the weight of the screen. The headliner will hold if you just distribute the weight right.
With a torch and a big enough hammer...it WILL friggin fit!!
