Id like to remove the airbag from the passenger side of my 94 mustang so I can install a LCD screen. What will happen if I remove the airbag? What kind of problems will arise when the car sees the airbag is no longer installed?

Do not remove the air bag!!!!!!!!.I'm a firefighter and I just love when some one removes the air bag or seatbelts and gets into an accident. We love packing your lifeless body in a bag and sending you to the morgue.Your damn stereo and video system isn't worth your life   Get it!

lol, you go russ.
I am an ex-firefighter myself and yes, you see all kinds of crap that makes you cringe. heads stuck through the windshield, entire bodies thrown through the windshield, necks snapped from hitting the steering wheel, etc.
But to be perfectly honest, an airbag can kill you just as fast as the wreck if you dont have your seat belt on.
With a torch and a big enough hammer...it WILL friggin fit!!

I dont see a problem with taking out one, or both airbags.  Airbags hurt people in accidents all the time, and I personally wouldnt want airbags in my car.  Seatbelts are a whole differant story, but I dont see people removing seatbelts to put in LCD screens either.  Just my 2 cents.

I can personally second that pimpincavy my brother had a 20 mph fender bender in his Jeep Grand Cherokee had his seatbelt on and everything the airbag deployed blackened both of his eyes broke his nose and he even chipped a tooth. I am scared to death of my airbag I have heard awful stories of people being burned by the airbag deploying.

I hate the airbag idea, Something exploding from my dash in an accident that would otherwise only require a new bumper, and in such case has now rendered my car "Totalled" sucks my left one.

Just my opinion

Burned, or DEAD? Which would you prefer? Not to mention the legal issues that might arise from tampering with federally mandated safety equipment. AND, if you tamper with the safety equipment and somebody is hurt (or ends up dead) in your car in an accident, your insurance ain't gonna do sh*t for you, jack! Your choice.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Removing an air bag to install a video screen into a vehicle is...... absurd.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
