Hi all,
I'm puttin in a ultra start 1250 into an 04 forester with factory alarm.
How can I get it to lock and arm with my key fob.
it does lock but doesnt arm
and if i lock and arm with their factory fob it sets the alarm off

Sorry, you can thank subaru for it. you can only arm and disarm factory alarm from factory remote. the easiest way to do it is to upgrade to a 2250, alarm/remote start/keyless. it plugs into the same harness as the 1250, all you have to do is take the horn wire off and run it to a siren under the hood and hook up the door trigger. i've heard of some people taking the factory remote apart and hard wiring them, but good luck, not worth it. the reason for this is that there is no factory alarm arm/disarm wires going to the key cylinder like most cars. good luck! ___________________________________ I tell it like it is...
