Hi Everyone,
My car is 1995 Japan-made Toyota Camry LE V6 4 door with factory power door locks. I want to install a 2-wire aftermarket door lock actuator to replace the broken one in front driver door. How should I connect the 2 wires of aftermarket door lock actuator?
I saw 2 groups of wires going to the actuator area in front driver door. One group has 4 wires and the other group has 3 wires. What are the functions of these 7 wires? Which wires actually activate the actuator?
The following is what I found out about these 7 wires:
AT ACTUATOR INTO KICK PANEL? UNLOCK LOCK At Rest
Black wire Blue/Black stripe 12v 0.25v 0v
Red Blue/Red Stripe 0.25v 12v 0v
White Blue/Red Stripe (smaller) 3.6v 3.6v 3.6v
Blue White/Black Stripe 0v 0v 0v
& Brown dot
Black White/Black Stripe 0v 0v 0v
Red Blue/White stripe 11.5v 11.5v 11.8v
Green Blue/Brown stripe 11.5v 11.5v 11.8v
Please advise how I should connect the 2 wires of aftermarket actuator (without adding any additional relays)?

I just did one last week. Go into the door to the wire is the easiest. The white plug with the group of four wire is the correct set. I don't remember the wire colour. The one below seem to the most correct. Just test them. No relay are need. Very simple to do when you get the correct wire. Once you get the correct wire just connect them to the aftermarket actuator.
