how about this. if you don't like the show and think it's crap, don't watch it.
I try not to watch it, damn girlfriend. At anyrate, how does not watching it affect the outcome when idiots come in wanting the 5000w audiobahn amps??? I am still affected by the dumb show.

All I hear in the shop now is "I SAW PIMP MY RIDE LAST NIGHT CAN YOU DO THIS"?  And the bums know they don't have any type of custom money. It's really starting to get to me.

When they ask you to this stuff, tell them it's specialty work, that's $840 an hour for labour. They'll leave. And yeah, most of the show is stupid, but I've heard REAL good things about WCCs work...plus, week after week they pump all that out....they're on a real short time frame I've heard.

I don't like audiobahn stuff myself, BUT If I can make some money on it I'll sell the crap out of it. And if I got to sell it on MTV I'd realy sell the crap out of it. Money is money is money, and that's the name of the game.

what about when your installs are compared to pimp my ride? or is that just me? I mean if you ever go to any car show and a kid has decided to take a few weeks and make a trunk mold in his garage and slap some speakers and a screen in there, get it pained and show it off... then the people all say hey thats like the stuff from pimp my ride! thats gonna get annoying I bet already! I'd like to see how many people they have working on the car at any one given time... Where i'm at theres NO INSTALLATION "TEAM" just me... and another guy if I get burried... but hardly ever do we "team" up on anything... cause i'm told if we do that we have to charge twice the labor... which I don't get, but makes sence in a way... Over all I guess I like the show seeing what there gonna do next... granted most of the installs are out of control... but with an unlimited budget more than likely there getting huge amounts of promotion for what their capable of doing... I'd like to see them say things a bit more realistic and do some more custom audio installs but thats not what the shows title is... if it was "make my trunk slam with bass and my ears bleed from volume" then i'm sure they would have better systems... but the shows more about "my rides got what yours don't"

there... my .02

Back to whether the installers at WCC know anything or not, it isnt that they dont know anything. They have to dumb it down for the people that are watching it so they can get ratings. The people most entertained by the show have no knowledge of car audio. But when they hear, "thats over 5000 watts of power in your car " they know that its alot of power so it must be good. I bet you if one of the WCC guys were to post on this site they would be happy about the popularity they are getting but disapointed about how other custom installers are losing respect for them.

WCC is given around 25k per car and I think 4-6 weeks to finish. But alot of the stuff comes from sponsers like all the audiobahn and directed stuff. And notice the banners in the background.(If you look closley my company's banner is back there!)

i wish i had a shoe rack in the back of my car.lol.  i like watching the show, and also  to see what stuff they pull off that is whack.  lots of installs are pointless but interesting.  I think they are probably told to do imaginable installs for some odd reason hoping for mtv viewer ratings to increase.

Wcc doesnt necisarrily do bad work, maybe pimp my ride is a downfall for them, but i have seen some whips they have done on "rides".  Like lawyer milloy's , i think h2 hummer it was,  that was nice.

Last night i seen them do a 2003 corolla, actually didnt look too bad,  one week i seen them install some jensen car audio stuff,  i felt bad for that person to get that crap.

Another thing, i like to see these peoples rides in about 2-3 years, there cars looked like crap before, becuase most of them let the cars get that way.  I doubt they stay lookin good, they probably dont maintain very well, as u can see with the car before its "tricked"

would u like your chicken original or extra crispy?

this is what i think most of the people that have there cars on the show treated their cars like S*** in the first place and thats one thing i cant stand i take good care of my car and people that dont should be driving busted up P.O.S and i think the guys at WCC know what there doing look at the other cars you see in the backround as far as the audio stuff most of it sucks i have seen one set up on the show that i like somewhat with out those dumb spining grills and the capice with the 9 MTX amps then saying that is 9000 watts  going into 3 MTX 10"s ha ha    i really like overhauln most of the people that have there cars on that show are trying to do somthing with there cars and just don't have the means do get it done
