Does anyone know what the pinout / wiring diagram is for a VW 2001 Jetta Wolfsburg with the Monsoon sound system? I have a powered subwoofer that is capable of either input types. The monsoon system amplifier is under the package tray. I wanted to wire it into that with a connector to permit quick and easy return to factory condition should I sell it. I just need to find out what wires are what with the monsoon amp connector to install this unit. It would be much more convienent for VW to put speakers in the package tray rather than in the doors, this would have been done already.

Thanks for the help,

Jeff

The HU is speaker level out and there should be a diagram on the bottom. There is no turn on lead, it is currant sensing so you need to use the ign. lead or buy a current sensing adaptor. Much easier to go to the back of the HU the door leads.

I was hoping to find out which wires were for the pre amp imputs on the amp. I have an auto on already incorporated into the unit. I was hoping to not go through the hassle of finding an oscilloscope to test them all. I have an active crossover that I would like to use for the preamp signals. Thanks for the input.

its on vwvortex.com I did it to a blue one... One thing you need to know is the remote wire on those cars is not enough volts in it to make the remote turn on lead work in alot of amps
