Does anybody know where i can get the Wiring diagram for a 2000 Mercury Cougar. My sister has an alarm and she wants it installed, and i figured i would help her out to put it in. Now i know how to do all that stuff, but i don't know what wires are what exactly and don't want to take the risk of cutting or crimping something i don't know what it is. So if you guys could help me out on that, it would be much apprectiated, or at least put me in the right direction to do it correctly.

NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with PATS (Passive Anti Theft System). Use DEI module 555F to over-ride during remote start. *1 The keyless module is located behind the glove box. This wire flashes the hazard lights. *2 Use BLACK/ red for the drivers door and BLACK/ green for the passengers door. Diode isolate each wire together to the alarm. To access these wires, pull fuse panel down and remove cover.   *3 Towards the rear of the running board. *4 Located between the firewall and the strut tower on the drivers side of the motor in a 10 pin connector. *5 These wires must be relay isolated from the headlight switch to keep the headlights from flashing with the parking lights.

Thepencil,

that was some fast response time there. Now from what it says there, that is where i can find the wire correct?

And if you could i have an alarm i want to put in my Acura RSX 2005, and i would like a diagram for it also if possible? I already have a DIY for a Compustar alarm, which i could go off of and use the same wires, but i was wondering if i could get that diagram just incase, if that is possible.

And just for future reference, where are you getting those diagrams from, or where could i go to get them, to be curiuos?
