Our web server is located directly in the current projected path of Hurricane Katrina. We will be hanging out as long as possible to back up the database from this forum as often as possible. Should this storm stay on this projected path, our facility will most likely lose power and this site will obviously be unreachable. Evacuations are already under way and hopefully everyone in this storm's projected path is prepared and has already taken the necessary precautions. We still have more things to do around here and will update this post throughout this event as possible. Until then, be safe.

Sometime this evening I will be closing the forums in an effort to save all of our data in the event we lose our server. We will definitely experience damage from Katrina and some down time. As soon as the outer bands reach the New Orleans area, I expect power to our facility to go out and the backup power supply will only last so long. So expect this site to be down as early as late tonight or early tomorrow morning.

We're now under a tropical storm warning due to Hurricane Rita. In the event we go down again, we will attempt to get our site running on our temporary server again, however it is located in Houston ....errrrrr

Parts of our parish are now under a mandatory evacuation due to the rising water in Lake Pontchartrain. Our location is safe and we will be staying to deal with any server issues that may arise as a result of this hurricane. This site may experience some down time, but we will do everything we can to minimize it.
