does anyone know what the sizes are for the front and rear speakers in the 2001 nissan sentra? 5 1/4,

6 1/2?

I believe the speaker sixe is actually 6 3/4" but you should have no problems installing 6 1/2" speakers. This same size in in the front doors and the rear deck.
