I have a dodge ram 1500 st 4x4 2005 with 6 speed manual transmission . recently i connected an ultra start system, model u4266m fcc aproved. thats what the box said. I used as reference wiring diagrams for the truck  from bulldog security. for the remote start  i used the installation guide. all connections were made accordingly but the truck didnt start.  i noticed there was 2 ignition wires and 3 accesory wires. i used 2 relays for ignition because the "brain" only came with one ignition wire. also 2 more relays  for two of the accesory wires. the third accesory wire was spliced to a programable output by switching a pin in the box to accesory. all other connections to brake, clutch , tach, hood, and parking lights.  the ultra start box was reacting to the signal of the pager but the relays that i connected were not. i double checked my relay connections and tried again and i had the same results, nothing.  so i went for a beer.

i have reached a good stopping point until i gather more information about this system. its a new truck and i dont want to mess it up. is there a connection that you would try diffrent or maybe i connected the wires wrong? a good advice would be taken. if more info about this is needed let me know.

thanks to all of you.

This is NOT the ideal vehicle to "learn" how to install a remote start on. You have everything against you, although at least it's NOT a diesel.

A BCM is a spendy way to get an education.... I would strongly suggest getting some help. If you choose to continue, heres another tech sheet.

Also for the parking lights... if you use the 1.1K resistor the headlights will also trigger, i've found using a 1.8K resistor will only trigger the parking lights. And ive also found on trucks WITHOUT factory foglights, if you use the 1.1 K you will also trigger the foglight dummy light on the dash.
