About to work on a 07 Elantra and I am putting in an alarm and remote start. The wires look pretty basic but the tech sheet mentions a keysense. There is no bypass module but do I need the keysense for the remote starter to work?

You would need to energize keysense, yes. If you look at the notes for disarm/no unlock it specifies that the factory alarm will disarm with keysense, ignition and accessory. You do not mention which system you are installing, but with the DEI systems I use there is a status output wire that you would use to power a relay to provide +12V to the vehicle's keysense wire during remote start. You may also be able to just use the second ignition output to power it if your vehicle does not require both accessories for remote start.

First I am putting in a autopage rs-725. Second what would happen if I did not power up the keysense? Would it set off the alarm everytime I remote started, even if I use the factory disarm wire? Using the keysense to disarm without unlocking sounds easier, but I never did a keysense and am trying to get as much info on it as possible.

You may not need the keysense wire, just pulsing the FAD wire might work. Test it without if you would like.
Keysense is just like any other wire that you need to interface with like ignition, accessory, etc. Just wire up a relay to change your status output from a negative to a positive and connect it to the keysense wire in the vehicle. Or use the second ignition output if the vehicle does not require it. It will make the computer believe there is a key in the ignition switch every time you remote start it.

I may just use the key sense since it will disarm the factory alarm without unlock and just to be on the safe side. Thanks for your help and the info.
