hey guys, i found this forum while googling around, finally a place where i cant talk about electronics!
anyways i own a 2003 yamaha r1 and i purchased a Thor motorcycle alarm pics below
the alarm works fine, i have the sirens working, but my problem is that i need to hook up the remote starter, and this is my concern, also i need to hook up the lights, so when the bike arms it will flicker the turn signals, i know if i hook up to one signal light it will only flash that one and not all 6 of them.
does anyone know how to hook the bike up so the remote starter works?
thank you

What remote start circuit are you using?
The remote start in the diagram is for sensing only (to disable the alarm - at least so I assume) - not for issuing a start signal.

what do you mean by that? this is all it came with, the ridiculous instructions, i can provide a schematic diagram for my bike, that i can take from the repair manual if that helps?

Sorry - I interpreted that you wanted to start it remotely.
Maybe that is the intention, but without neutral sensing, I'll bug out anyhow.

So you connect the alarm's blue "connect to starter" wire to the starter wire (from the handlebar switch, or the relay that controls the starter-motor).
I presume the alarm will switch a relay only - not the starter-motor's solenoid. Check your wiring diag for a relay (not to be confused with the integral starter-motor solenoid if fitted), else check the supply capability of the alarm, though it looks like a few Amps if that - not enough for a starter motor nor its solenoid direct.

sorry for the late reply, so for the turn signals i would hook the wires to the handlebar switches right? because they turn the signals?

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
