setting the time on a viper 5901 remote

I am unsure of how to set the time on my new viper remote to the right time? can anyone help me?

Well it's funny I get this alot, the user guide for the Viper 5901 doesn't really say, so here is the user guide for the Python 991 to set the clock read pages 35-38 its at the bottom of page 38, the Python 991 uses the same remote programming steps.

The guide says to first press f to adjust it. When I hit, or even hold f, all it does is go to level 1.
Any tips?

Nevermind, I think I may have figured out what I was doing wrong.

HOLD the F button, it will display CAR 1.... KEEP HOLDING IT.... it will display "setup remote",  use the AUX button to go to CLOCK, press F once, then choose, HOUR, OR MIN,  press F to select then adjust it with the AUX button,  press F to set that time.
