But don't play with 12V relay terminals under power they generate up to 200 VDC under shutdown, hence quenching diodes.

Howie, you are no fun. The 200 volts is so brief there is no way it will cause you too much pain.

I've been hit by a 120V before, I certainly would not enjoy 200V based on that experience!

Yeah, right Mr I. may I quote a relative of yours? Smartarse! You yourself even posted once a very funny "how to" on finding out how a relay shutdown affects you.

txjeep, if that 120V was AC from a wall outlet you ain't felt nothing yet!

DC is a lot nastier which is why we have AC on house lines, also easier to run power lines, thank you Mr. N. Tesla.
