Looking at a 06 Cobalt with a Prestige 620n remote start. Trying to program a transmitter to the brain...key one...press button three times...get a horn honk...press unlock...when I turn the key off..get another horn honk...try the remote start nothing....only function that works is the unlock....HELP!!!!! lol

OK-
1.--Erase--
So you should repeat what you just did, even hit unlock. Car will honk. Hit unlock again, car will honk again then it will exit programming mode.   This should erase the remote you just programmed.
Turn key to off and remove from ignition.
2.--Program--
You know the steps already. Turn key to on, press programming button 3 times, car honks once. Press LOCK. car will confirm with a honk.   Next, turn the key to off and remove it. Car will honk indicating you have exited from program mode. Now all the buttons should be programmed correctly.
You almost got it correct--you need to hit lock for 1 button programming.
