I have a Viper 5906v. I connected a 506t and the external shock sensor with the harnesses by instructions (I followed the first option in the 506t installation manual). The shock sensor works (LED blinks) but the LED on the 506t does not. I tap on the glass with my keys but the 506t LED does not blink. My mic is up on the dash.

Did the LED flash when you first powered it up?
I'm guessing insufficient power or faulty module.

Yes it flashed when I powered it up. Do I need to wire it differently or what?

Try increasing the gain to max also try temporarily disconnecting the shock sensor.

Another thought:-
After disconnecting the shock sensor and turning up the gain, wait about 30 seconds after arming.

I tried disconnecting the shock sensor, turned up the gain and still no luck. I then noticed that the 5906v has 2 sensor connections so I tried connecting the audio sensor in one and the shock sensor in the other. The audio sensor just does the same thing either way (with shock sensor or connected by itself in either sensor connection). The LED just flashes once when applied power to it and that's it. I've even sat inside the vehicle with it armed (without shock sensor connected) and tapped on the glass, whistled, jingled my keys, etc. right near the mic and the siren or audio sensor LED shows no response.

The audio sensor was new. That probably don't mean anything.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I'm going to send it back and try another one. I'll let you all know the results when I get the other one. Thanks a bunch!
