2011-2014 Ford F-150 80 Bit SA Key Pictorial

This pictorial is for the 2011-2014 Ford F150 80Bit SA Key. This specific year was a brand new 2014. This guide is applicable on ALL FORD 80Bit:(besides Focus). Using a full featured bypass such as the Fortin Evo-All will minimize your wiring. All F150's have a factory alarm, which disarms by ignition and valid transponder. Important Notice: If you are using a Compustar 7200 starter brain, you MUST make Programming change 3-06 Option 2 (factory alarm setting to ON) or the system will unlock/disarm 10 seconds after arming. Another option is to turn off Door Triggers on the Evo-All. This is only applicable when using D2D Unit: Viper 5706V Bypass: Fortin Evo-All Firmware: V71.11 Bypass Guide Basic Disassembly: Bench Prepping: Wire Location: Run wires under the carpet if connections at the BCM are required. The sill plates on the F150 are VERY fragile. Take extra caution while removing the panels. Give the A-Pillar a good pull. The clip will release, giving you ample space to run the antenna wire. Make sure your wires are BEHIND the side curtain airbags. The side trim can be removed as well for more access. Firewall Grommet: I use a long sturdy zip tie to pull all my wires. Easy to use and cheap to replace. Engine bay - Siren mounting: This is what bench prepping can do for your overall installation outcome. Clean and clutter free. Before packing it all up into the dash. Mounting Brain: On the left side of the dash(above foot ebrake), there is a big pocket where the brain can rest. Zip it to existing harnesses. Wire Tucked and ready to reassembly. Ted

Thought i was the only one who taped over the fuses.You learn something new everyday. Whether or not you fail to file it as useful is up to you.

I have always done it as a precaution. Would hate for it to touch ground and take out the main fuse under the hood.Ted

Nice write-up, Ted!    I'm another one that covers the fuses with a wrap of tape.  Those little exposed test pins are hard to get to

with a DMM meter lead but darn easy to bump against chassis sheet metal during install.  

Just a note on the Transponder plug RX wire at Pin 4.  While the color can vary, it's been Violet/Grey on the U.S. market 2014 F150's

I've done.  Go by pin location if in doubt.

Thanks Kreg, You're right about pin 4 RX being violet/grey. Not sure why i listed it as violet/red, but I'll fix that pronto. Following pin location is always the best route. *Edit*... FixedTed
