Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am working on a 1951 Mercedes Benz V170A. I am having a problem with the horn switch (negative signal). The switch is shorted to battery voltage and I would like to know if there is anyway possible that I can wire up a relay (4 pin) and a switch to disable the horn/relay so that I am not operating the horn and the turn signals at the same time. There was a similar system in another vehicle in my shop here in Germany with the same setup/problem. The switch is a normal push/pull switch with 4 connections (2 circuits). I will also include a wiring diagram for the vehicle. The circuit is very simple to understand.

Just cut the horn wire where it exits the steering column then give it a push switch to earth. No relay required.
