Hi all, I recently got my aftermarket alarm working on my truck again after I had disabled it for some years (lost remote)
When I first re-learned the FOB and then re-learned the doorlock bypass module, I noticed the alarm was operating the lock as described in the manual, one chirp/flash for lock, two chirps/flashes for unlock.
Now, when I lock it, it's chirping a repeat, almost double like sequence, three chirps for on, like its going on-off-on, then four chirps for off, like on-off-on-off.
I noticed it did this years ago when it was operating normally, so this may in fact be operating as intended i just dont understand why its doing this
I have noticed other peoples alarms may be doing the same thing, their manuals of course are likely different but if that is the case, why is this happening?

If there's a gap of about 3 seconds it probably means the alarm thinks a door/trunk/hood is open or that particular switch is faulty. What make of alarm because on many you can program that off.
You'd have to test or obtain/Google the owner's manual.
