Installed a clifford avantguard 5.1. Got everything in and went to program the double pulse unlock and it would not program. Checked the plug and they are both plugged in at the brain and by the switch. I only installed a alarm so the ign1 (GREEN/ blue) wire was hooked to BLACK/ red ign on the Solara. It is getting 12 volts when the key is on ign at the avantguard plug. Is this the right wire for the ign on this alarm to be able to program. Does not want to go into valet mode via that two button switch also. Everything else works great.
Is there a way to check the switch? And what am I looking for.

If you only installed the alarm part there's a 4 pin heavy gauge connector with black wires.
You only need to connect the wire labelled ignition, key side or ignition input.
If you only installed the alarm, why is the remote start ignition output wire GREEN/ blue from the Intellistart connected?
Please read the instructions.
