Greetings,
I'm planning to install a 1 button, 2 way remote starter in a 2013 CRV. I have a PKALL in the mail - I found someone used it on a 2013 with success. I'm looking at the Crimestopper RS2-G3 for the remote starter. Before I pull the trigger I want to ask the braintrust about D2D protocols. From my research I found that the PKALL uses DBI D2D. The RS2-G3 manual is a bit cryptic and states it supports ADS/FORTIN or D2D. Can someone confirm what is the other D2D protocol Crimestopper uses and if the PKALL will talk to the RS2-G3 over D2D at all?
Thanks is andvance.

Not sure if it really makes much difference, D2D or W2W.  There really isn't any D2D comm going on there with this application.

This is only for the transponder bypass and the GWR ( - Status ) signal has to be hardwired anyway.  Just as easy to go W2W.
Cut the 4 Pin harness and Pin 3 Black to Chassis ground and Pin 1 Red ( or Blue ) to +12V constant.  D2D doesn't really save
much time.

Just follow the Connection #9 wiring diagram and the INSTALLATION WITHOUT D2D wiring for the 4 Pin plug.

Soldering is fun!

Kreg is correct on just going wire to wire on that install.
Just to answer your question on the protocol, CrimeStopper works with both Fortin and ADS in full 2-way D2D. It does not work with DEI. Fortin and ADS use a similar protocol which is why they can do this. You do need to pick which module company you are using in the programming of the RS2-G3 though.
