I used the Fortin Evo-Key Immobilizer bypass this weekend in my 2012 Tacoma Viper remote start install. It is supposed to be plug and play, however it is not registering my vehicle. I see that there is a firmware update, but curious if anyone has had issues with this system?

I've used it before. Although it was the Chrysler one. The only problem I had was the wiring schematic that came with the unit was incorrect. I called them and they gave me the correct wiring. It worked after that.

That is a preloaded module. there should be no reason to update it unless you have a very old module. That diagram on their website shows a pretty simple installation and programming. What is it actually doing, or not in this case?

Mine isn't acting as a bypass as it states. And it came pre-loaded, but I noticed there were some updates that include toyotas. I was just curious if others were using them and having success. I'm thinking about going to a remote start installer around town, but they are notorious for not doing ANYTHING if you didn't buy it from them, which I did not.
