Good afternoon,

i am installing a pioneer ND-B8 backup camera in an 04 Nissan 350z manual transmission. it is Going to a pioneer AVH-P4400BH headunit.

I need to know what wire color is in kick panel and it's polarity?

anything i can find info wise on is LT/Green. the two LT Green i find are 12v positive and drop voltage whe in reverse gear. also reverse light are not coming on.

Hi,

Service manual shows orange coming from backup lamp switch, changing to light green at the rear by the lamps.

You're at the rear of the vehicle installing your camera, how long would have taken you to pull the light unit, gone to each wire or the nearest connector, park brake on shifter in reverse, ignition on and tested?

You will still have to test Ween's advice even though you can assume it's accurate.

light is mounted to bumper.we narrowed it down to bad reverse switch and also a bad camera. thank for all the help

OK Those Nissan bumper mounted lights are awful to get at.

I couldn't give you any advice I did reversing aid on a Juke recently, wire colour was GREEN / WHITE.

Mine was UK build, seen it before with Japanese, Euro and US Toyota and Honda, changed wire colours.
