Hi Gonna be doing a 07 Jeep Patriot with aps997e . I'm currently planning to use flcan . Kind of confused by idatalink Iguide page 13 . Can anyone tell me if opening up ignition to solder wires refers to my install? http://cdncontent2.idatalink.com/corporate/Content/Manuals/DL-CH5/ADS-AL(DL)-CH5-EN_20150410.pdf

You will have to open it up to read the serial number ( step 2)
"Locate the serial number on your circuit board. If the number
is equal to EZS NCV3 DODGE as shown below, proceed to step 3 (soldering the wires).
WARNING:
IF THE SERIAL NUMBER DOESN’T MATCH, DO NOT
PROCEED WITH MODIFICATION AND CALL TECHNICAL
SUPPORT FOR FURTHER ASSISTANCE. "
