Hi all, I have 4 kenwood kfc-w3013ps 12" subs, they are 4 ohm svc 1200w peak and 400watt rms. I need help with how to wire these subs and also what amp would be needed to power these subs. Im assuming I would need an amp that has at least 1600 rms to run these. Am i correct on this. Also not sure what is the best way to wire them. I would like to avoid a 1 ohm load if I can. I am not finding any diagrams on a 2 ohm load so im assuming you cannot wire 4 of these to a 2ohm load. Im just seeing a 4ohm and a 1ohm diagram . Would i be better off with a monoblock or a two channel amp or maybe even running 2 amps 1 for each pair of 12's. Whatever amp I need what numbers should I be looking for. I was looking at the kenwood kac-9106d amp, It is rated @ 2000peak watts, 500w rms x 1 channel for 4 ohms and 1000w rms x 1 channel for 2 ohms. It is not 1 ohm stable. Will this run these 4 subs without working the amp to hard. Thanks for the help in advance.

wow been 4 days since I posted this and no help once so ever. Ive since then figured this out my self. Thanks for all the help.

The best wiring for this is for a 4-ohm load.

I recommend a mono sub amp, any amp up to 1600 watts into 4-ohms will work fine as long as you set it up correctly. Check the hot topics forum for how to set amp gain.
